 Abstract :
A field experiment was carried out at the Breeder Seed Production Farm, Department of Agronomy, College of Agriculture, Jabalpur (M.P.) during Rabi 2009-10. Treatment Hand weeding at 30 DAS recorded significantly higher yield and growth attributes viz., plant height, number of tillers (/m2) and LAI including grain yield, straw yield and harvest index, followed by PoE application of treatment Pyroxasulfone + Pendimethalin 50 + 910 g/ha, which were statistically at par for the rest traits. All the weed control treatments significantly influenced the grain yield of wheat over weedy check due to all treatments gave lower weed index over weedy check. The lowest weed index gave by treatment Hand weeding at 30 DAS followed by treatment Pyroxasulfone + Pendimethalin 50 + 910 g/ ha.
